Speaking of great contact positions, I’m not sure any hitter ever had a better one than Manny. While he might be fading into obscurity today in foreign leagues, we should remember him as one of the most fundamentally beautiful hitters that’s ever played the game. Watch any position in his swing – load, land, hitting position, trigger, contact, finish — it’s all poetry.
